Halloween is around the corner and everyone is bringing out their best tactics to spook people around them. A majority of people decorate their houses with Halloween special items.  Some people just use some good old carved pumpkins to give the vibe of Halloween, and some people make a bit of effort and throw in some spiderwebs with creepy crawlies.

Then come the people who cross all the limits to make sure that Halloween decor gets noticed. This man in Ohio did exactly the thing that not only made him famous among neighbors, but also created news nationwide. He went the extra mile and did not only use some store bought skeletons, but also made one that looks like it is coming out of the house.

The skeleton arms are coming out of the house, holding the house with one hand and another skeleton with another hand. Half a skull with a big blue popping eye coming out of the roof is a real spectacle of horror.

When you see the house, at very first sight, you know that the house owners have not left any stone unturned. Alan Perkins was looking for giant skeletons in the markets but none of them were of the size he wanted, so he planned to make one himself. It took him 25 days, but the results are amazing.

The whole process of the making started with him finding the foam sheets that he bought 5 years ago off of Craiglist. These sheets looked like a perfect material t make a skeleton from scratch. One of the best parts about this gigantic skeleton is that it is holding the very much popular 12 feet skeleton and making it look small.

The 12 feet skeleton is courtesy of his neighbor who took part in the project by lending it to Alan. the 12 feet skeleton has gotten very famous over the year for being tall. Alan’s skeleton is way bigger than it.

Making the skeleton from scratch was tedious and required a lot of patience. Everything had to be cut perfectly to make the skeleton look the way it looks now. A lot of measurements and precise cutting were part of the process. Foam sheets are great to do this kind of DIY project but they also require immense care.

Alan made sure everything is on point. Considering it is a huge project, he did a great job. Foam sheets need to be handled with care and Alan did a good job.

Joining the foam bones together was a task that Alan did with PVC hinges that give it an even more realistic look. These hinges make the skeleton look like it can move anytime. Tiny details add to the spookiness of the huge skeleton. You feel like the skeleton is actually grabbing the house and might squish it. He also inserted PVC support inside the foam arm and legs to improve the strength of the structure.

Next came the part to color the skeleton and add some final touches to it. He coated the skeleton with sand and glue to add texture. Then another coating is to make the structure water resistant. The skeleton has a tendency to be the Halloween decor next year too.  Every detail was precisely done to make it look life like. Alan Perkins was extremely committed to the idea because this is a lot of work for holiday decor.

Alan lives in a relatively not very populated neighborhood and every year max 20 kids come for trick or treating. However, this year things would be different and he does not exactly know how it will pan out. In his view, it can be a number trick and treating kids or his house can be a favorite Halloween picture spot for adults. Either way, he is excited that his mega project turned out to be a success.

The giant skeleton is not the only thing that Alan made to make his house look the spookiest of them all. These are various skeletons of different sizes peeking around the house. A big creepy spider can be seen in front of the house. He closed the windows with wood planks to make the house abandoned look. Spider webs all around make the house look even more spooky.

At night, special lighting effects make the house look even more creepy than in the daytime. The lighting highlights all the horror elements of the house and you might be a little creeped out while passing through it at night. Alan does deserve an award for his effort.

If you look at it, it is all about ideas. He didn't just clutter the whole house with all sorts of Halloween decor. Instead, he picks up an idea and makes the spookiest house decor while staying minimalist.

Alan did only use the house to get attention and have fun, he also put up some effort to give back to society. After his skeleton went viral, he got in touch with a community, the Skeletons for St. Jude campaign. This community works for raising funds for children's research hospital. This has to be the nicest gesture. It is also a great example for his kids to see how to make a fun project a good deed too.

Alan going the extra mile to make the best out of his project is a great deal and has to be the perfect spectacle of this spooky holiday.

Kids at Perkins household are excited to have the most popular house on the street and everyone talking about it at school. They are thoroughly enjoying the whole experience. Alan has risen the expectations of the kids and he will have difficulty topping his own idea in the future. Nonetheless, this Halloween will stay in the minds of the whole family forever. Alan made a memory for his kids that they will cherish forever.

For kids, he is going to be the coolest dad this holiday season who made them popular for all the right reasons.

The only person who is not too thrilled about the project is Alan’s wife who is a bit uncomfortable with the magnitude of the whole thing. I would not blame her, it is a pretty scary thing to have a round your house.

Her other concerns are not too wrong either. The holiday is going to go in a few days and then she is going to be left with a huge skeleton to take care of and store somewhere. Christmas is around the corner and she is more worried about that while Alan goes all out with his Halloween enthusiasm.

If you happen to live around Olmsted Falls on River Road then do not forget to take a round and have a look at this amazing marvel. Take pictures with the decor and enjoy and make some spooky memories. Maybe you get to have notes on two on how to decorate your house this Halloween. The house is named the haunt of the falls and you most definitely would not have any difficulty finding it.

Do not forget to donate any amount you want to the community and play your role in making the world a better place. Alan has done a lot of effort and you will enjoy it too. Have some fun and make the best of it.
