With the end of Dragon Ball Z, the iconic franchise came back with another banger in the shape of Super, and boy not only did it keep up with its predecessors, it just took the series to another level with some of the most iconic moments that anime fans will always remember. Goku turns Super Saiyan God

With the descent of the lord of destruction, Beerus-sama, the future of Earth starts looking very bleak. With Beerus demanding to fight the Super Saiyan God Goku and the rest of the gang summon Shenron to ask for help. Shenron then tells them the way to summon the Super Saiyan God, which was to be achieved when five Saiyans with a righteous heart join hands.

They waste no time giving it a try and, despite some drama, are finally able to achieve it.

Although nothing seems different in Goku except his hair turning red, his combat abilities skyrocket. The intense battle of Goku vs Beerus then begins with Goku giving the lord of destruction a run for his money and heck the clash between the two gods almost ends up destroying the universe when Goku’s transformation comes off and the fight ends in favor of Beerus.

This was able to satisfy Beerus who called off his plan to destroy Earth, Phew the day was saved but just barely I’d say.

Vegeta kills Frieza

With the return to life of the evil emperor Frieza once again, Earth finds itself in grave danger. Having sworn vengeance against Goku and the rest of the Saiyan’s he starts his onslaught with his minions. With Goku and Vegeta out for training with Whis, the Earth has no one to defend itself.

But as they say, heroes always arrive late, they appear on the scene late but just in time to confront Frieza. The fiery battle between Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza sees Frieza losing, but in his last-ditch effort he ends up destroying the Earth!

However, Goku, Vegeta, and some others survive thanks to Whis who tells them what actually occurred. He then proceeds to reverse time and asks Vegeta to kill Frieza before he destroys the Earth, in which Vegeta is successful.

Man, that really was another very close call for Earth, and who knows if it will be safe forever.

Vegito is reborn and fights Zamasu

With their fight against the immortal Zamasu going nowhere, Goku and Vegeta decide to fuse once again in order to put him down for good. By using the power of the Potara Earrings, both are able to fuse and Vegito once again appears after his last appearance in the Buu saga.

Ever so powerful Vegito is able to turn Super Saiyan Blue. With his incredible power, he is able to pummel Zamasu who is no match for the incredibly overpowered fusion warrior.

However, the fight does not last very long with their fusion coming off but we were able to see some ridiculous attacks from Vegito which rivaled the very best in the universe and even pushes Zamasu to his knees dealing some heavy blows on the corrupted evil god.

Goku achieves Ultra Instinct

As the tournament of power enters an important phase, Goku finally gets his chance to fight Jiren, who had effortlessly taken down some major opponents. The hype around Jiren was crazy at this point, and Goku was definitely going to have a bit of this, with his excitement reaching sky-high.

However, Goku is utterly beaten and overwhelmed by the insanely strong Jiren. Not knowing a way to defeat him, Goku comes up with a plan to use the spirit bomb. But, even that doesn’t work, as Jiren is able to push the spirit bomb on Goku himself.

 Everyone believes Goku died with that huge explosion however, to everyone’s surprise, he reappears with an aura around him never seen before. Yes, he had achieved something incredible again, this time the power even the Gods are not able to achieve, The Ultra Instinct!

Although lasting for a very short amount of time, he fights Jiren again, this time landing a few hits on him but unable to beat him yet again.

Goku defeats Kefla

With the Tournament of power raging on, the newly born fusion warrior from Universe 6 takes the center stage with her overwhelming firepower. Defeating opponents left and right, she sets her eyes on the warriors of Universe 7, when she confronts Goku and a hard-fought battle begins.

Already out of stamina due to his previous battles, Goku finds himself cornered against Kefla as even Super Saiyan blue is not able to take the fusion warrior down. Facing utter defeat, Goku once again beats all the odds and out of nowhere taps into the power of Ultra Instinct!

The tide of the battle turns totally in favour of Goku as Kefla is not even able to land a single hit on him. And with the legendary last hit Kamehameha, Goku is magnificently able to eliminate Kefla.

Goku and Frieza join forces to eliminate Jiren

With only two universes remaining, the tournament of power heads closer to its conclusion. Despite taking a major beating from Ultra Instinct, Goku Jiren remains firm in the battle arena. Meanwhile, three warriors from Universe 7 remain, which include Goku, Frieza, and Android 17. With most of their energy spent, an intense battle between the four begins. Refusing to give up, Jiren puts up a massive fight, however, is eliminated thanks to the combined efforts of none other than…. Goku and Frieza!

Yikes! Was everyone’s reaction watching this including me because watching both of them work together was beyond weird and surprising because no one would have ever even imagined in their wildest dreams to see them working together. But that being said, they were able to take down the seemingly invincible Jiren and save Universe 7 from annihilation.
