You most certainly enjoy watching your favorite Disney movie for a reason. Whether you need some motivation, a take-your-breath-away moment, or an intense theme song to sing in the shower, Disney films have it all. But, has it ever crossed your mind that you could gather inspiration from a Disney character for your next Halloween costume? And by inspiration, we don't mean getting yourself a pumpkin chariot and losing one shoe to channel that Cinderella spirit or trading your legs for a mermaid tail like Ariel in little mermaid.

When the Halloween season kicks in, dressing up is always the top priority for most people; the same is true for your favorite Disney character. If you are keen enough, you'll have noticed that some characters enjoy Halloween as much as you and me. Whether donning creative, spooky, or just plain old costumes, Disney characters honestly know how to dress up for Halloween.

If you need some inspiration to come up with your next Halloween costume, here are six characters dressed up in costumes we think were interestingly creative.

1. Winnie The Pooh and Company (Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie)

If there was ever a gang that knows how to dress up for Halloween, it's our friends down at Hundred Acre Wood. In the spirit of Halloween, Winnie and crew get crafty and take Halloween costumes to a whole new level. Piglet's angelic stylings stand out the most, and if you are passionate about food, you can copy Pooh and come out as your favorite food.

2. Dani Dennison (Hocus Pocus)

Although Max Dennison might think he's too cool for Halloween, the night's happenings prove that no one can ever be too old for Halloween. Max doesn't dress up for Halloween, but his little sister, Dani, does. Armed with a witch's hat and an outstanding red costume, Dani sure does dress to impress. If you fancy a witchy theme, dressing up as Dani is your go-to Disney character. Adding a black cat for company will undoubtedly spice up the costume.

3. Lock, Shock, and Barrel (Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas)

The fantastic trio Lock, Shock, and Barrel might be the best when it comes to causing mischief, but go all-in when the spirit of Halloween comes calling. Picking great Halloween costumes is no easy task for these three kids, but in The Night Before Christmas film, they go above and beyond the norm in Halloween town. The fact that they have to outdo bona fide monsters and ghoulies proves these three kids know how to capture the Halloween spirit.

4. Mickey Mouse and The Gang (The Mickey Mouse Cartoons)

In their quest to tell Louie, Morty, Huey, Dewey, and Ferdie the scariest Halloween tale, Mickey and his pals rock vintage costumes for Halloween. Disney Fans will notice Huey, Louie, and Dewey spot looks from the animated movie Trick or Treat while Ferdie and Morty get whimsical in pirate and dragon costumes. Mickey Mouse, however, adopts a unique approach by unleashing his lederhosen for an alpine-motivated outfit.

5. The Headless Horseman (The adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad)

Do Headless Horsemen exist? They might, but do you believe in them? Ichabod Crane from the adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad certainly did. Ichabod's fear was ignited after Brome Bons told him about a chilling story of a headless phantom that wanders in sleepy hallows. His worst fears come true when a headless horseman hunts him down, and he mysteriously disappears.

The ghost theme has been a present theme during Halloween for years, and if you crave that eerie feel, you could as well dress up as the Headless Horseman; you would need a black horse, though.

6. Huey, Dewey, and Louie (Trick or Treat)

Disney's 1952 film Trick or Treat is a classical and humorous short of how Donald Duck is determined to play tricks on his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie, on a memorable All Hallows eve. Donald's nephews, dressed as a ghost, a witch, and a devil, set out to reclaim Halloween with the aid of a compassionate witch named Hazel. The witch noticed Donald mistreating his nephews and decides to help the little ducklings payback their greedy uncle. If you are a gang of three, you could dress up as the three ducklings and set out for a night filled with adventure.

Walt Disney created characters that we loved and cherished. Apart from the entertainment part, we've enjoyed the scary part too. If you feel like Halloween has been too familiar for your liking, getting yourself one of these six costumes will surely ignite that Halloween spirit.
