1. The book was originally titled "Forks."

2. It was birthed from a dream that Stephanie Meyer had. She recall that, "The meadow scene in the novel is basically the dream that I had and when I woke up I wanted to know what would happen to them next. How would they work out this situation?"

3. I bet you didn't know that the vampires weren't the only ones that wore contacts in the film. Kristen Stewart wore brown contacts too. This is because, on the norm, her eyes are naturally green, but she had to match up with how Bella's eyes were described in the book.
